SPAR is the UK’s largest convenience store group with 2700 stores and retail sales of £2.7bn but prides itself on the local community focus of its business delivered by independent store owners that own and manage their own stores.
The SPAR Sprints Initiative is a community-based programme. The programme aims to develop and maintain a strong infrastructure that will increase participation at all levels, improve the skills and standards of both the athletes and coaches and deliver a long term strategy that will ensure the UK maintains its status as a world class sprint nation.
The sprints initiative also provides and excellent link for our International sponsorship. SPAR have been principle sponsor of the European Athletics Association for 11 years and thanks to this sponsorship the UK public are very quick to associate SPAR with the world of athletics.
