In 2003, BBC Sport won the exclusive rights to broadcast all the key UK domestic athletics meetings - indoor and outdoor - up to and including 2008.
Peter Salmon, BBC Sport Director said: "This major contract with UK Athletics ensures year-round athletics coverage across BBC television, radio and online and complements BBC Sport's prestigious international package of athletics which features the Olympic and Paralympic Games, the World Championships, the Commonwealth Games and the European Championships."

Steve Cram, BBC Sport commentator, said: "A new generation of young British stars are exploding onto the athletics scene right now and this deal means the British public can follow their fortunes as they take on the road to the 2004 Athens Olympics and Paralympics and Beijing in 2008 on BBC Sport."
