Due to the lack of competition opportunities for male U18 hurdlers to gain the UKA qualifying mark for the 2007 IAAF World Youths Championships in Ostrava, Czech Republic, a special competition opportunity has been created.

It has been decided that a race over 110m hurdles (91.4cm) distance will take place on Saturday 23 June at the England Athletics U20/U23 Championships at Bedford.

Whilst this is not an official trial competition, it will be a final chance for athletes to compete over this rarely run event prior to team selection.
