It was with great sadness that we heard this weekend of the death of our Vice Chairman Lawson Duerdin and past Chairman of the English Cross Country Association.
As many of you might have been aware Lawson had been ill for some time and had last week been diagnosed with pneumonia. The news of his death came on Saturday during the NoEAA Senior Championships, a tribute of a one minute silence in memory of Lawson was then held prior to events beginning at the championship on Sunday.
The funeral service for Lawson will take place on Tuesday 27th June 2006 at 12.45pm at Bury Parish Church, The Rectory, Tithe Barn Street, Bury BL9 0JR.
