As you look to involve volunteers with your organisation, there are a number of opportunities to access funding to support your activity. This page is intended to give an idea of what funding is available, and the best way to access it.
Awards for All Lottery Grants
Awards are made to voluntary sports clubs with small to medium incomes (less than £20,000 per annum). Grants are available from £500 up to a maximum of £5,000. Applications are assessed on a monthly basis.

Foundation for Sport and the Arts
Awards are made to groups for projects that bring benefits to their communities, particularly in respect of increasing activity amongst young members of the community. The majority of awards are made to sports clubs and other sporting organisations.

Local Authorities
As part of their commitment to increasing volunteer engagement within the community, many local authorities or County Sport Partnerships may be able to provide support, or direct you to other suitable funding bodies. Contact details can be found by visiting www.direct.gov.uk
National / Regional Athletics Organisations
Contact your home country athletic association (Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales) or regional office (England) to see if any funding is available to support volunteer development in your club. Home Country contact details.
National Volunteer Development Agencies
The home country Volunteer Development Agencies will have some involvement in funding distribution. This may be through a direct funding stream, or via involvement with another organisation.

Torch Trophy Trust
This is a CCPR endorsed charitable organisation encouraging voluntary work within sport for the benefit of local communities. Bursaries are available up to £1000.

An independent charity formed as a result of the Russell Commission. V focus on promoting volunteering for people aged 16-25. Funding rounds are taking place, and may be more appropriate for larger clubs, or groups of clubs applying together.
