Matti broke the British record five times in 2007, adding 5m to the previous mark, and was awarded the AAA U15 male athlete of the year.

Matti receives a coaching session from Steve Backley once a month and will also be linking up with Goldie Sayers on the same basis

Matti can speak Finnish and also plays drums, piano and guitar. His brother is one of the nation’s leading in-line skaters.
