Career summary

  • Libby burst on to the scene at the Assen 2006 IPC Athletics World Championships, winning a silver medal and just missing out on

    a second medal, aged just 16.  

  • Before that as a child she was a keen ballet dancer before moving into athletics. As a sprinter she has been very successful on a national level winning British open titles

  • The teenager from Newcastleton in the Borders was partnered by guide runner Lincoln Asquith at the World Championships - her biggest event yet.

  • She produced terrific performances in Assen setting PBs to take the unexpected silver. She was denied a second medal only when officials decided her guide crossed the line before her.
